Knitalong: From 1 June to 31 July there will be an Anything Goes KAL running in the Give Me A Crown Ravelry group with a chance to win a skein of yarn by Dingo Dyeworks in the Fair Dinkum fingering base in the Uluru colourway.
I cast on and have been working on my Quiet Day shawl by Minna Sorvala (host of the Frostbites podcast) using yarn from Miss Click Clack (Merri Creek Sock in the colours Rufus and Sauterne), Knit Picks (Stroll in the colour Jack Rabbit Heather) and Skein (Top Draw Sock in the colour Citrine).
Three new skeins from Circus Tonic Handmade on the Revelry Sock base in the colours: Masked Owl, Grey Hawk and Major Mitchell Cockatoo.
Episode 65 : Once upon a sock (24 February 2017)
Finished object: I completed a pair of socks that I named Once upon a sock, made from handspun I made with merino/nylon fibre from Wren & Ollie and Novita Nalle yarn for the toes, heels and cuffs.
I received my HiyaHiya interchangeables cable stoppers and cable connectors that I ordered from A Chronic Yarnoholic.
As part of a swap, I received lovely squishy yarns from Yarn Cafe Creations - a 100g skein of Ocean Mist and a 25g mini of Duckling on the Fluffy sock 75% merino/25% nylon base. The dyer, Christy, is one half of the wonderful The Girls in the Yarn Cafe podcast.
Other mentions: I'm contemplating yarn and possibly casting on the Tweel skirt by Anne Hanson.
